I’d like you to know..
The women in my work are beautiful and real, fearless, and proud. Still, they are unconsciously ruled by formal and cultural behaviors.
They hold and express the male and the female, the sacred, and the profane.
I take photographs of emotions that are already there. A melody within the song of life, a lure from our natural state of being, where texture is the opposite of digital, and sexuality is an act of surrender.
A good photograph for me expresses the idea of a movement in time. Infinite numbers of probable future moments trapped in a still frame, a skipping heartbeat in the loop of consciousness.
